My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
It would be great to have a southeast group meet somewhere in the western carolinas/eastern tennessee/northwest Georgia area.

Haha!! On a members per population basis, Saskatchewan beats Ontario! With a population of 1.2 million people, we have three members. Jim, make sure you come see me, too. We have a fireworks competition not far from where I live, first weekend of August.

Can't do much for planning, but I'd definitely be down for coming to a meet. With a decent notice I can make the time to go almost anywhere, but can't guarantee that I'll be able to bring a Ranger along.

Man this would be awesome, especially since I have an operational Bronco 2, just have to add oil and check the gas in it once in a while. Hoping to get the engine rebuilt in it in the near future...it may become a summer project for a couple of high school kids but that is up in the air right now.

Jim, if you do this please let me know if you come anywhere near the Boise, Idaho area, I'd be glad to meet up with you and anyone else in the Boise area, or if anyone has any other locations near Boise that would work better.

Course if you came to Emmett we have a cycle park which a lot of the 4x4's like to romp around in. But Idaho is full of back roads, trails, etc.

Local RBV "expert"
If you make it out to the east coast I'll try to drag out whatever's on the road at the time. I only have 3 RBV's, one of them's gotta be on the road!

I'm going to throw this out there for anyone that thinks they have plenty of time to get their truck back on the road again;

I think you'll be surprised how quick the anniversary will get here.

Think of this, if you don't wrench on your truck in the winter, and people start meeting in the spring (2019), how many actual days / weeks / months do you have to get you're trucks the way you want them before any gatherings? In some areas, it's not warm enough to work on your trucks now. So, a few good months maybe?

Hey O'Data. I don't know if I'll even be in a truck. Might ride a bike there and jump in with you. I have an old video of you beating up my old B2.

Any time frame on this happening in 2019? I'd love to meet up again, but I'm just hoping that my Bronco 2's engine is rebuilt by then. Got a kid in high school that's going to use it as his senior project, yep I've been told bad idea, but after the local Ford Garage "certified" mechanics rebuilt the engine in my 84 Ford Ranger I don't think mechanics are any more certified than giving a high school kid with some mechanical knowledge some tools and a vehicle to work on. Anyhow they've got a new teacher this year who's been a Ford & Chrysler mechanic for 17 years...so I figure why not, it would save me about $4k. Course the kid won't know it until he's got the vehicle done and back together but he's got a few hundred bucks for his pocket when its done. His brother rebuilt the engine in my 84 Bronco 2 I had a while back and it ran great, just couldn't keep starters in it and the body was too far gone to try and restore :(. So between the teacher and the kids I'm sure they'll get it back in long distance road worthy condition, just may take a while, I told him to take his time, I just want it done properly.

I got another one although the Gen 2 Trac is not as off-roady. Got it new in '08 and 10 years and 156,000 miles later it still looks like new, but you know how I am. :D
