It has dual tanks but only the rear works :/ but on the plus side it is a 2.9 v6 with a 5 speed manual trans and an 8.8! Did these come with 8.8's? I thought they came with 7.5's? Ruby red interior black exterior spare in the bed super cab with the little fold out seats and shortbed. My problem is that when i switch the tank to rear there is red wire starts to melt. Also there is no power to either rear tank or at the switch unless i jump the circuit. I tried disconnected the forward pressure pump on the left frame and it runs when jumped and the truck starts if i put the fuel line in a 5 gallon gas can. The truck runs great and is in excellent condition otherwise. I saved it from the crusher one day. Any help would be appreciated maybe a procedure to follow. Also an idea of how the dual tank setup works and its components. I went to look at a 1986 Ranger for sale and on both upper quarter panels it had Lightning Badges! Also had full body molding down both sides which is something else I've never seen on a Ranger, and everything looked like it was done at the factory.
Did Ford in fact make this truck? I know I have had many, many Rangers and don't remember ever seeing this package before.
