tags i've seen on a couple folks avatar section. What exactly do they designate?

1000 watts of continuous power, not peak power.

1000 Watts RMS is really subjective. My Orion that puts out 150 true RMS watts, and will outperform a lot of these chinese made amps that claim 1000 watts.

ive got a class d that will do 1000 rms at 1ohm.

What do you have?

well ive got 2, a rockford t10001 bd, rockford claims u can get 1200+ out of it and i got a sony wired up right now at 1ohm that is suppose to run 1000rms, its got 3 25 amp fuses and i figure if you take that x 12 (around the voltage i am getting at the amp) you get 900 watts. ive had both of these amps wired up to a mojo ( at different times of course) and they both pushed it just fine, ill go look at the model num. of the sony real quick

I'm running a US Amps VL-200 (800 RMS@12 volts) for my highs and mids and running a US Amps USA-400X (1500 RMS@12 volts) for my subs, and I have a US Amps VLX-400 (2400@12 volts, capable of well over 9600 RMS) waiting patiently to go into my next autosound truck
