SE Ranger?

I have an 88 short bed/reg cab Ranger that has what appears to be original black paint, at least on most of it, and it has gold stripes down the sides with a SE at the back of the stripes on the rear of the bed. I thought the SE was a Mazda thing. Did some dealer just put the Mazda stripe kit on this or was there a SE Ranger option? If so what can you tell me about it? This was a 2300 FI 5 spd.

believe it to be a dealer added strip kit to try to dress up the truck, have seen kits like this applied to rangers in the 80's not a factory option:beer:

OK, thanks. It was pretty when new with the black and gold stripes. When my paint is done it will be black with different painted stripes.
