sorry, i have never made my own.....

but just wondering how you are tearing them up so much that you are tired of buying them???

i bought my last pair of the cheap Chevy lowering ones at O'Reilly's for $30...and i pound on them hard off road....and have lasted me for well over a year...

im guessing theyre just rusted out and he has probably already done one side and doesnt want to have to bend over again to get the other side done? you could make them but you need the correct diameter tube for the bushing end and then you need to make the bottom wider either by bending flat stock and welding it to the bushing tube or by shearing it out of plate and then using a press to make the folds. either way, i say $45 or so is a good deal to be able to buy them pre made.

Some flat bar and a cross brace and they are just as long as belltechs and have lasted 7 years so far and going strong.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
i busted the stock ones all of the time doing do nuts on dry pavement with the locker kicked in...

the replacement units i went with will rip the bracket off the frame before they fail.

the hd jeep drop type is what i went too....45 bux back then. i cant build a set to match them for that.
