Hi, over this summer I have been helping my buddy fix his 1987 fulsize bronco. We have been swapping parts off an 86 (mostly interior). The one thing that he didnt use is the bucket seats. I have been recently looking into getting bucket seat for my 1998 xlt ranger, but cant afford the $365 per. Will those 1986 bucket seats fit?

they CAN fit, but i am about 99% sure it won't be a bolt in swap... even the explorer seats don't bolt directly into the ranger without a little work... and i'm fairly sure the fullsized truck seats are wider... you might be able to get them to fit if you don't want a center console... but don't take my word on that, they still might be too wide

They will not fit, and the bolt pattern is different. Also, the seat bracketry is different since ours have that hump in it.

You could try and use your old Ranger sliders/brackets and see if there is a way to bolt it to the '86 seats.

ANYTHING will fit, with enough time, money, or patience.

Have you tried looking at this:

Good luck.

alright thanks guys i might take them out and look just for the heck of it.

I put Jeep Grand Cherokee seats in my r/c ranger. I just removed the power mechanism and used a piece of 3/4 w x 5/16 steel to span the seat brackets, measured and drilled. Took an hour or so for both.
