1990 Ford Ranger's Speedometer mileage odometer question

does a 1990 Ford Ranger's Speedometer mileage odometer go past 100,000 miles without rolling over, again, to zero?

and if so, how many miles will it register up to?

someone on craigslist has a 1990 Ford Ranger 4x4 that's advertised having about 100,800 miles on it

that's why I wanted to find out about a 1990 Ford Ranger's Speedometer mileage odometer, to get an idea if it might be an accurate mileage for this Ranger that's for sale on craigslist

I have a '90, the odometer only registers to 99,999.9 then resets to 0.

I asked the guy on craigslist if the speedometer on his 90 Ranger which he has for sale and is advertised to have 100,800 miles on it, was the actual mileage, or if the speedometer had rolled over

he said that he has owned this 1990 Ranger for three years, and didn't understand what I meant, when I had asked him, if the speedometer on his Ranger had ever rolled over, before, that he knew of

so, there's really no way of telling, for sure, is it, if the speedometer has ever rolled over, before, who knows how many times, before he ever got it

what year did Ford Ranger speedometer mileage odometers truly register mileage past 100,000 miles

It should be on the title... If it registered close to 100,000 several years ago it might be 200,800... I don't really look at mileage too much though... I've had cars with over 200k that ran better than cars with less than 200k...

It was at least by 1995 when they changed the dash. It might have been a couple years sooner, I seem to recall them adding an extra digit in the Explorers prior to 1995, but I could be mistaken.
