Looking to buy a ranger now that i have a decent job.I've been looking at finding a decent 4wd ext cab thats a 5 speed with the 4.0.I Plan on the truck as a DD and some off road time here and there.Nothing to crazy, some mud and rocks.
I know rangers are great trucks. My dad had an 88 that was a beast and a few of my friends and i read the how to buy a ford ranger fact.I'm just looking for some more insight on some trucks. You guys know what their worth and such.
Here's a few that i'm looking at.

Do they MAKE a 4.0 with a five speed? That WOULD be neat...
My '93 is without a doubt, the unsung hero of my life....it just keeps starting, day after day after day...For seventeen years, it has been the most reliable thing in my life, and that includes the humans, who can let me down quite frequently. Funny....my kid has a Toyota Supra, which has been a horror show of epic proportions, by comparison. "Ask someone who drives one," indeed. Why doesn't anybody ever ask US?

ya the first truck is way overpriced...the third one is nice, the body style i have. I like the look of that 3 inch body lift.....i'd be interested in getting one now, just to fit some bigger tires.

You sound somewhat local to me! (south NJ)
I would say best bet would be the latter two trucks.

About an hour north of Harrisburg.
I looked at the white one today. Truck was pretty much mint. Has a 3 inch body lift and 33s.
Should I be worried about the 175k? On it.

Drove the white one yesterday. hauled pretty good for having 33s. Slight wobble at highway speed but I think that's cause the tires are unbalanced.
