i have a 2002 ford focus w/ 2.0l sohc 5 speed manual mt5? transmission. what fluid does this take? ford dealership is no help on a saturday (not that they would be helpful on anyother day). any one got a good guess?
well i was just wondering because i just had a customer in who was working on the cv shafts and had to drain the fluid to do the service but wanted to replace it with new stuff. so being a parts guy i got out my catalog and looked it up and it says fluid type SLF. so i look in the key to see what SLF means and it says "special lubricating fluid". alot of F***ing good that does me. so i called the ford dealer and of course the parts department is closed at 1:00 and no one there knows how to use a catalog or computer to look it up. so we couldnt help her and we lost a sale. so i figured that you guys would know better than fords because between all of us on here we could start our own car company and put ford, honda, toyota, gm, and chrysler out of business! thanks again for the countless pieces of knowledge.
