Best Motor Mounts???

Ok im tired of changing motor mounts every couple of months. Anyone have any suggestions for some good hard core 2.3 mounts?? Ive just been using stock mounts cause thats all Ive been able to get hold of.
 
have you been using OEM style hydraulic mounts or solid rubber ones?

i broke both my hydraulic mounts from racing. i replaced with hydraulic to retain the vibration dampening.

but i do know the rubber ones were a bit cheaper
 
ya ive been using the oem hydraulic ones. Ill only get about a few months worth out of em. So far its only been the left one thats been blowing up due to tourqe.
 
yeah i ripped the top off one of mine and popped the other like a balloon.... with the little 2.3l haha

i would recommend trying the solid rubber ones
 
when my hydro's went I changed to solid rubber, didn't notice a vibration change. right now I'm running 10psi into the engine (180hp range) and no problem, so far about 20K-30K on them

weird thing is my passenger side mount blew first, but it happened after getting stuck in the sand a couple times (this was pre turbo), so low range reverse must have killed it, when I put the turbo engine in I swapped the drivers side mount for good measure as it was like 19 years old
 
Sounds like a plan. I just put my dual t-case in a couple months ago and already blew apart this mount. I know in double low 1st its puttin massive tourqe to everything.
 
take a ratchet strap (big one would be best considering you have dual cases) and make a limiting strap to preload the engine mounts, probably best to do this on both sides of the engine if you figure out how.
 
Im gonna bolt a cable to the block somewhere in a few different spots so I dont put all the stress in one spot.
