So as the title says, does anybody else here fling knives for fun?

I just started about a week ago and I've discovered it's a great way to unwind and take out aggression after work and it's a lot less likely to piss off the neighbors than gunshots.

I'm still bouncing about 19 out of 20 throws off the target but when I finally do hear that "thunk" and get it to stick, it's the best feeling in the world. :yahoo:

I do, got throwing knives even.
I can throw just about any knife but a bread knife, too light =P.

Its tricky sometimes though. I get maybe 12 bounces out of 15 throws. But yeah, it feels good when you hear that Thunk!

I have tried hawks. It was ok (I never really got onto it) but for winding down I prefer my bow. You have to really screw up before the pointy part doesn't stick in the target.

I do, I fabbed one up from a big old kitchen knife. I like to throw hatchets and my big Paul Bunion double edged axe, but I always knock down the stand I made for my kids bow and arrow target practice. LOL

Good to know I'm not the only guy trying this stuff. I may have to look into a bow, but I want to at least become an okay thrower first.

I've got 2 sets of hibbens and 3 Rempler's that you could put through a 55 gallon drum, along with some cheapies.

I've also got a couple of hawks.

Haven't been throwing lately, but it seems to be something that I get into, then get away from.

Right now, I'm doing other things, but I sure do enjoy spending a couple of hours sticking some steel.

I've tried tomahawk throwing. That's fun. There really is something satisfying about throwing a sharp object to make it get stuck in a hunk of wood.

Been doing it since I was 8 years old. I got 6 kills while I was in Special Ops throwing my Kabar in a few different countries. The knife is silent like my cross bows....silent but deadly.....lol
