I have seen two diffrent ones over the years driving around Dallas/Fort Worth. The last one was being used to haul scrap iron around. The first was in mint condition. Of course at the time it was not more then a year or two old.
Acording to this web site there were only 50 made

Don't quote me on this, but I think Ford actually produced a few of those trucks for a year or two.

The guys web site says they built 50 total. I think he added a few stars and stickers. The ones that I have seen going down the road had the stripes and the Special Edition on the tailgate. I think they were built in 96-97.

They were built in 1996 and were customized by Show trucks USA in Terrell, Texas, The stars and Stripes are hand painted and no two trucks are alike. They were done in white, silver, and dark blue configurations. Some extended, some regular cab. All Flare side beds. They had Dallas cowboy floor mats, a Dallas Cowboy Ford Truck decal on the dash and then the exterior paint. There are rumored that there was a Dallas Cowboy Limited Edition which had Silver stripes and white paint but Ive never seen one. I bought mine in 1998 at Ford Country of Lewisville I even got them to throw in the Ford Truck Dallas Cowboy Banner LOL and traded it at bill utter ford in Denton in 2002. According to carfax its in California right now. It was originally sold in Irving. I miss that truck but it was to basic and i wanted the power goodies, I do miss it though

Ok so what we are talking about is something like a Baldwin chevelle, Or Yenko camaro.
Not made direct from Ford, but a dealer add on package.

not really dealer add on more of a conversion truck. so the dealers that sell Show trucks USA vehicles would sale this. Like a conversion van a dealer doesn't make them but they sell them.
LOL you dont know how many times this truck got egged or vandalized LOL i just love blue and silver and stars but hate the cowboys .
THis was back in 1996 when people survived without cell phones and 20" rims, and cars werent frowned upon because they didn't have bluetooth or navigation

I have seen the ranger that you are talking about with the unusual color configuration driving around in the Athens area. Also I own one just like the one depicted in your picture.

Polish a turd; it is still a polish turd.
Yeah I am not a cowboys fan either but I would have to slap my damn myself for buying/driving that truck. It is bad enough I drive a Colorado for a work truck. :annoyed:
