Hey guys, I have an 89 B2.....I am doing the rear brake shoes and in all the pics I've looked at as well as the Haynes manual there are two little prongs that come off the wheel cylinder and contact the shoes. On mine there are just two pistons with no little prong things....is something wrong here?

Second thing, the hardware kit came with some horseshoe clip looking things...where do they go? My old brakes didn't have them and from the manual (they are using a ranger for reference) it looks like they are supposed to hold the parking brake lever in but mine just kind of hooks in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm in the middle of the job right now...thanks!

Well I think I got it figured out. I guess if your already reading this thread than maybe you can still help....

The whole reason I had to go back in is because I had new rear shoes installed about a week or two ago but yesterday when I was leaving from work the left rear wheel seemed like it got tight for a second while I was backing up so I went a block down the street, pulled over on the side of the road and at that point the left rear was completely locked up. Any ideas on what could have caused that?
