Start my new job next week

Filled out an app at pep boys for asst. sevice mgr, had an interview today, and I start next wednesday. Pay should be a lot better than precision tune's paying me

how bout you transfer up here to raleigh and then give me a job lol, i applied at pep boys last year and they told me i didnt have enough sales experience...bastards.

Haha, I've been a lube tech since I was 16, then I got into doing brakes, and some minor engine stuff, but precision tune kept denying me a raise after 2.5 years, only time I got a raise was when minimum wage went up, and thats exactly what I got, and only like 30 hrs a week. Pep boys is a little less an hour, but I get comissions, so it should be ok. Plus I get to sit in the air conditioning lol

Thanks to employee discount, I'm gona have the nicest ranger on the east coast lol I've been looking for a better job for a long while, just be patient

Good luck, The one and only experience I had with pep boys was at the Knoxville east town location. I had my wife's vans oil changed. It was right after Christmas and I had my two girls with me and I was on m y way to see my dying father in the nursing home. After about 45 minutes of having it on the rack , I went back to see what was up, 15 minutes later I went back just in time to see it being pulled back in with oil pouring out from underneath it. I asked the manager and he said the mechanic said some tape had got between the oil filter and frame and it didn't have a good seal. Are you freakin kidding me??? Now there was oil all over my motor. And I was late. Make a long story short the oil change was free, and I got to smell burning oil for about a week. Then I noticed it was leaking oil so I checked the filter, they had not even tightened the filter! I am never going back there. Now I remember why I starting changing my own oil again. I'm not saying you would do that, but as a manager you need to know that that junk happens every day.
