Just out of curioisty I am curious what the crawl ratio for my truck in 4x4 low is. I have the 5R55E automatic tranny with the 4.0. Not sure if my gear ratio makes a difference but they are 3.73's.

Also if there is a formula that you use that would be cool also. How do crawl ratios effect your truck and the control you would have off road.

The formula is:

read end gear ratio x transfer case ratio x transmission ratio : 1

I don't know the numbers to plug in for you though.

Crawl ratio is the total gear reduction of your drivetrain. It provides better control when traversing technical terrain. More torque transfered to the ground at lower-more controlable engine speeds.

CR=First gear x tcase reduction x axle reduction

If you have a doubler or portal boxes on your axles, you would multiply those reduction values as well.
