Has anyone ever replaced or found a good fix for a broken blend door? Its been broken for years now and I thought about ripping into it and try fixing it. My temp control knob no longer works: stuck on full heat. The good thing is that when I turn it to Max A/C it cuts the flow of coolent to the heat exchanger so as soon as the exchanger cools off I get decent A/C, so I eather have full heat or full cool.
Thanks for any pointers!

Thanks allot, that helped allot. I tried that repair and it worked, but now the problem is in the motor inside the white box. For some reason its weak and when it gets in a bind it quits turning until you whack it. Its a simple little motor that turns a series of gears that turns the big D pin, I went to radio shack, but they didn't have anything that fit.
Any ideas?

i fixed my blend door in my truck before i found out about this awsome simple little fix. the truck came like this with a new servo motor(the part that your talking about) and a new air plenum that i took the new blend door out of to put in place of hte old one.
i didnt actually use the new servo motor if you want it. $20 shipped i just called up my local ford dealer and they go for $68 plus tax.
