ok fellas i got an 89 ranger that has a dana 44 (full width coil spring) and 9" under it. well sort of..its not finished. it has bent radius arms and the brackets need braced (new xmember) and i will need drive shafts and the steering done and shocks. i wana do the chevy spring swap. i have skyjacker coils for it. it still has 2.9 and stock trans and transfercase.... i have a budy who has a 70's ford 3/4 ton with halfton uders.. anyway it has a dana 60 front with umm *brain fart* cant remember the rear axle. it has 4speed manuel trans and a devorced transfercase..i think its got a 390 in it.it also has hydro assisted stearing of some sort..i can get it dirt cheep!! the stuff works just so you know.... ok so my delema, buy that and sell the ranger and wheel the big ford?? or buy it,sell the axles( i know i they are better then my 44 and 9) keep the tranny and transfercase and stearing for my ranger sas project.?? i want a truck for in the woods or rocks or mud.. not just a mud bogger.. i figure i can get the money to get all i need to finish my ranger up and get a motor (trade 390 for 5.0).. anyway you get my drift..i love my ranger.. had fun in it before decideing to sas.. it ben a few years. i miss the woods.. so what do yins think?? or should i just sell the ranger and wheel the ford. oh its a longbed by the way.. when i say wheel it i mean strickly built for playin...!!!! any advice or oppinion would be great.. what do you suggest?? thanx fellas

For woods or rocks around here, the best toys to have are short and narrow...

But I do love the old 70's Fords...

Tough call... I know I got a ton of projects of my own an not enough time or money to go around... probably because I refuse to sell a project and keep dragging more home, lol

yea short and narrow here too..the ranger is full width axels so technicly(?) it the same width. rite? as far as length goes i could shorten up the full size. but like i said love the ranger and its more custom then a truck with a shortend frame.. anyone else have 2cents???
