There is a braket that blots to the back side of the PS braket. I took the A/C braket off my truck because the engine I put in had A/C and my truck doesnt.

Have you set up your cooling system for A/C, basiclly a dual core radiator and a suround fan shroud?

my truck has a 3core and 2400cfm electric fan. I'm not adding AC to the truck though, using OBA.

so the bracket i need will bolt onto what i have currently, correct?

on board air. using the A/C compressor as a compressor to an air tank.

thanks for the picture. so basically decompress the system, cut the lines off, cut pigtail and 2 bolts and the thing is out.

You got it. The unpainted parts are where it was conected to the PS braket. Cant remeber if it had any other mounting locations.

there was a bit more than just that bracket but I got it figured out, and it was direct bolt in. got the bracket assy and pump for $50 from the j-yard, they pulled it for me too.

so do i need to get a new pully too? has 3 grooves in it i would assume? does the 2.9 pully fit?

The PS should share the same belt as the AC compressor. The grooves should line up. My 2.8 had AC and the main pulley only has 2 grooves, one for the alternator and one for PS/AC.

BTW how did you get an A/C compressor for only $50?? You took them. Keep up the pictures on how you are doing this, I'm interested in doing this in the future.

i just went to a junkyard, guy told me $15 for brackets and $45 for compressor... I offered him $50 for both and he said yes.

this is the tank i have
http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/performance-gallon-tank-p-9103.html

and I got a squareD ajustable pressure switch today..

now i just gotta figure out this damn compressor pully lining up.... does something look wrong in the picture i posted? perhaps i will need to put a spacer in that front bolts and move those tabs to the back of the mount, that should push it back a good 3/4"?

I cant remember what a 2.8 looks like with A/C, its been over a year. What did it look like coming of the donar vehicle? Hopefully the compressor works.

You might have to make it work for you by movig it back the 3/4 of an inch. How do you lock the clutch? Have an A/C problem on a van and want to check if the compressor went bad.
