I recently rebuilt my 2bl carb with some success. I have an unresolved issue with the idler screw that I cant seem to fix. When remounting the idler screw adjustment is too far away. Someone had a similar issue back in July I noticed.

Runs great, however shuts off at stop lights and stop signs. Not a good thing. Anyone else had this problem and fixed it, I could sure use a hint.

Had the same problem with my dads truck but it was a vaccum plug that blew off the vaccum tree behind the carb.

That's what it seems like. A vacum leak. I'll have to look in the back and see if a line has become diconnected.
Thanks

Check for cracks too. Hoses get brittle with heat and age. Those trees have some of the outlets capped and they fall off now and then.
