There never was a factory 5.0L ranger, so your gonna have to do a bit of searching to find one that fit's your setup properly. I've seen lot's of guys use civic/neon intakes as they're usually dirt cheap.

Yeah, mods are up to you...but there are plenty of ideas you can garner from sites that sell the products...and then make your own...

Hey bigdog did u install that 5.0l ? Iam lookn at buyin a Mustang for parts and really really like the idea of throwin that engine in my little beast. I have a 92 4cyl 5sp is pretty much all I know, I just got the truck. Whats involved besides makin room, using the right computer and harness that comes with the new engine, using the motor mounts or fabbin some up....o and I need to use an adapter for the transmission ? What else am I missin here ? I see you can buy expensive V8 conversion kits but is that necessary ?

that big motor will make that little transmission explode buddy. is it 2w or 4wd? if 2 wheel use the mustang automatic and hook up a b&m floor shifter. if 4wd use a c6. or a 4x4 5-speed trans out of a explorer the bolt pattern is the same, plus the starter is on the right of your trans and the v6's and 5.0 is on the left....

Its a 4x4 5sp (It says so, just to the left, under the names...buddy)...cant i just use the tranny out of the Mustang ? Iam lookn to make some power outta this little POS :) and then get some bigger mudders possibly lift it a few more inches. Make it not so embarrasing to drive, and a set of duals out the back will also help.
