My ABS light is on...Not a big deal...so I thought....

Ive driven cars with no abs and abs that went out...but this is the first time ive ever driven anything that makes the brakes lock up so easily. The other night on my way to work, it was raining, and a light turned yellow and I knew I couldnt beat it...So I tried to stop...didnt brake very hard. My tired locked up and I went spinning through the intersection. Luckily didnt hit a curb or another car...because it was 11pm and only one other car was there.

I just chalked it up to me being an idiot and braking too hard on the slick road...Then the other day I had to brake suddenly on the onramp to the highway ( I know I didnt brake that hard this time and it was dry)...The ass end swung out again and I started into a spin...Luckily (again) I saved it before I went all the way around and got it to a stop before smashing into the colbalt in front of me.

Are ranger brakes just that good, or has anyone heard of it before?

I dont know about the 95 but my 92 had a similar problem It ended up being the rabs module. It was plugged so only my front brakes were working and thus cause it to lock up very easily. I would pull your rear drums off and have a buddy press the brakes and see if the wheel cylinders are moving.
