94, 2 door reg cab Ranger with manual locks, windows, and mirrors.

Donor 94, 4 door Explorer with power locks, windows, and mirrors.

If I buy the doors, will the interior door panel and exterior mirrors fit? My idea is to gut the wiring, window motor, and lock actuator and put into the 94 reg cab door.

If this is good idea so far, what would you control with the back window switches?

Also, how is $225 for the pair (driver/passenger front) of Explorer doors?:icon_confused:

If I remember right explorer doors and ranger doors are slightly different sizes. Not sure which components will switch out.

And they're actually different generations, too. The '94 Ranger is in the third generation of the pickup platform, and a '94 Explorer shares the styling of the second generation Ranger ('89-'92). The door panels won't swap, and I doubt that the mirrors will, either. I'm not even sure if the window motor/regulator assembly will swap, but the lock actuators may work.

look in your LMC truck mag... if the part numbers match then you have the same parts...

use it for an exploded view also... great resource.

I'm thinking your best bet would be 93-97 Ranger donor doors.

Ditto on that. Specifically, 1993-94 would be the better donor. Starting in '95 the windows and doorlocks are tied into the GEM; up until then, it's old-school wiring.
