I am thinking about a Gibson split rear exhaust system, but would like thoughts and ideas.

Depends. What are you looking for?? Loud, not so loud. I have personally heard the split dual on a 3.0 and I think it sounds really good.

I would like a pretty low rumble to it, and a bit more power.

The gibson will give you the rumble. A flowmaster 40 will give more rumble. If your looking for more power... get a tuner. An exhaust alone will not give a noticeable increase in power.

I agree with 07rangersport, the flowmaster is definately gonna give u more rumble than the gibson system, but just getting dual exhaust doesn't actually increase horsepower or torque, all it does is produce sound and looks. And if dual exhaust did add anything performance wise, it wouldn't be very noticable.

I think the Gibson is quite a bit cheaper.

Flowmaster doesn't make a bolt on kit for any rangers past 94 (I think). Yes the gibson is cheaper. Did you try going to a local exhaust shop and getting a quote for a custom exhaust? It quite often works out cheaper.

to have my 3 inch magnaflow cat and super 44 single in single out and 3 inch tip w/ new 2 1/4 pipe was 220 bux, how much is the gibson catback again? other than the alumization of the exhaust custom work for the most part is cheaper and this is an example of it.

Idk. just checking stuff out right now. Is it hard to install? Any special tools required?
