I have a 1992 short bed 2wd Ranger. I really don't want to waste my money and buy another transmission for it and I really don't want to let a truck in such great shape go to the dump. Sooooo.......
I thinking it's time to do a little modification if you know what I mean.:icon_hornsup:

What you guys think some performance shop would do to it if say Ford SVT had today?? I would like to make it look like a total package. What would you guys recommend for the...

Engine
Suspension
Paint
Tires
Stance
Interior

302, supercharged
mustang II front suspension, ford 9 inch rear (4 link)
shiny
wide, all the way around
streetable low, back end a little higher
leather. black.

now get to work, haha

The best FIRST gen like you said would not be a 92. It would probably be an 83 to 88. :icon_thumby:

And +1 on the Black! :headbang:

Black is back. I think I like the sound of something supercharged. I've always wanted an excuse to do it.

92 is a 2nd gen :)

Go with a 351W, done up old school, big 4bbl, lumpy cam, and noisy exhaust. 4.11 gears with some big fat tires on the back with skinnys up front, dont lower it, but put some lift blocks in the back to make the back sit higher, and of course a 4sp.

Interior, simple, basic, with the exception of a few gauges to let known what lurks underneath the hood, white face auto meters, temp, oil, and RPM's, all ya need to know.

Paint, something simple, perhaps a factory ranger color/scheme.

I love sleepers :)

later,
Dustin
