My question is; my stock muffler ect is okay I have to change the donught and bolts between the cat and muff this would be the prime time to change out the muffler and rest of the exhaust but if I were going to do it is it worth the expense do you really gain anything other than sound increase in performance, mpg. not quite sure if its worth putting 300 + into the exhaust

if its in good shape, save it..doing a muffler swap-out won't get you HP or mileage, just louder/quieter (depending on muffler you choose). Any noticable gains will be doing an intake job and matching it with an exhaust job. If you let the engine breath better but ram it into a small hole, its not going to get out any faster, but if the piping is too large for the exhaust, it can loose velocity and it won't exit properly..IMHO just leave it till you need it..then go crazy :headbang: :icon_welder:
