Hi, my name is Buster Brown (my parents have a sense of humor). I am from Exeter, Maine and I am currently in my Junior year of college. I am attending LeTourneau University in sunny Longview, Texas where I will get my degree in Engineering Technology with a Mechanical concentration.
Alright on to the truck; I drive a 1995 Ford Ranger Splash edition. Its got the 4.0 V6 mated up to a 5spd transmission. Gear selection courtesy of a Hurst Short Throw Shifter (I installed this after replacing the transmission which is a whole other story in itself). I have installed the K&N Fuel Injected Performance kit (the big cone style filter/air box removal) and I am in the process of redoing my exhaust (as a result of cutting it all out during the transmission install). I am pretty pleased with my Ranger, the truck will definetly get out of its own way and easily takes my friends 2006 4.0 Taco. My other ride is a 1986 Volkswagen Cabriolet. Let me set everyone straight the Cabriolet is not, and I repeat NOT, a chick car. This car is my summer ride when I am back in Maine (the truck stays in TX) and this car is a blast to drive. The thing drives like it is on rails and though it may lack the power for the straightaways it friggin' corners like nobodies business.
I've been a member for awhile, but I never did the new members post so there it is. TRS has been an amazing source of information and help and I won't do anything to my truck without first consulting the forum. Thanks guys and girls too.
