Wider Tires from front to rear

What complications would there be by running wider tires in the rear than the front, both being the same diameter on a 4x4. I know running a taller from one to the other will mess with gear ratio's, but will this cause problems?

todd, one of our "regulars" on the boards, is running 20" wide agricultural tires on the back of his BII.

I've seen two different types of tires front from rear, as long as the diameter is the same, no prodlum.:icon_hornsup:
