i have a 94 ranger extended cab with a 2.3 manual that has alot of miles on it and is pretty wore out.
i got a 98 ranger extended cab with the 2.5 and manual but it was rolled over. so i want to put my cab on the frame. is it going to be a big problem. it looks like the 2.5 motor will plug into everything from my 2.3 harness. the only thing i wasnt sure about was all the abs stuff can i just take all that off. and it looks like i have to make a steering shift.

any information would be appriciated

the radiator support mounts wont match up with the 98 frame, thats it for body, and obviously the steering shaft is going to be a problem, and also the front bumper

then wiring would be the second problem, but if your 94 is distributless system just tranfer your wiring/sensors over to the 2.5, but might want someone else to chime in on that, because adapting ob2 to a early gen 3 is gonna be a pitta if you go that route and also the 94 has a place for a distributor, so im not sure if for put anything there

the bumper is an easy modification as stated its going to be a PITA to adapt from an obd I system to an obdII system..

i have the harness and computer off the 2.5 how hard would it be to put that in my truck.
