Just curious if I would be able to use a 4.0L 2 row radiator for a pretty mild 5.0L build, or do you think I would have cooling issues? (Looking to upgrade from 2.9L)

Also, another question came to mind. Say I buy a brand new 5.0L roller short block with forged pistons, would I only need to worry about getting the PCM, wiring, cats, EGR, canister, etc from like a 91' Mustang per se to make it emissions legal? It's initally going to be carbbed with a 600CFM vacuum secondary Holley I have lying around until I get enough for the EFI swap.

We don't check emission now, but I would like to have a compliant vehicle for the sake of being able to pass if they were to start again, and for the sake of the envoirnment.

Last thing, I am also wanting a T-5, I was wondering if anyone had any info as to the tranmission mount and hooking up the clutch mechanism. This would be my first manual transmission, ever. :) I don't have a clue about them. I did a search, but it seems most recommend AOD and C4. If I had to pick, I'd probably go with the AOD. I have a TH350 3 speed now in my car, and it well, I don't particularly like it.

Thanks,
Pete

Hey Psychopete, Glad to see someone else on here from northern In.

As far as your radiator goes you can use one out of a 4.0. You want to make sure you have a good fan though.

What year truck you working with? 2WD?

go with a full roller motor, you wont be dissapointed.:icon_thumby:

IMHO, i would'nt go with anything less than a 3 flu radiator.
