put on a thrush muffler and its no louder then stock?

i bought a thrush turbo muffler and had that put on after the cat and exited in front of the rear tire. its all 2.5 piping but doesn't sound much louder then my oem muffler ?:bawling: i was hoping for a little better sound any ideas?
 
flowmaster 30-series got 1 on my 3.0 ranger :icon_welder:
 
Yeah dude, if your looking for good sound, look into a chambered muffler, like a Flowmaster 40 series, or a knock off from Summit racing. thrush fully welded I beleive is what it's called.
 
i ditched the thrush turbo and installed a thrush welded and sounds much better, now im happy :headbang:
