hi i have seen to have run into a problem.. i have a toyo kogyo 5 speed tranny out of a 84 bronco 2 and im trying to rebuild it beings i had the main input shaft bearing go out.... so the problem im having is pulling the bearings out ,, any help??????? and was also looking for any type of manuals on this tranny so any help is grateful

I had the same problem when I did mine. I took two bad ones and made one good one.

I wasn't able to find any manuals for it, but did find an exploded view, which helped alot. Here's a link to the site.

The bearing I had the most problem with was the front cluster gear bearing. There's nothing really to grab hold of, except the retaining clip. Alot of prying and cussing, I was able to get it out.
You have to take both front and rear cluster gear bearing out to get the input shaft out. The input shaft has two "flat" places on it. After you have the cluster gear bearings out, the cluster gear can move put of the way just enough for the input shaft to come out by aligning one of the "flat" spots with the cluster gear. It is a tight fit.

I've got alot of pics of when I did mine, if you need them, let me know.

thanks for the help

yea it seems like nothing i have tried fits in by the cluster bearings but that pic will help in the re asembly thanks again

No problem. If you need more help or some pics, just let me know.
