Hey guys i need some help. I have a 93' explore 4x4, 4.0L. I replaced my slave and master cylender in the truck and tried to bleed it, but it does not bleed and i dont know why. I have bled it over and over but there is no pressure in the pedal at all. Can you guys give me some advice on how to blle it or if im not doing something. It has no leaks im aware of tested all the line and none of them leak.

-any feed back would help.

Does the fluid level in the resovoir go down at all? Do you get any air out of the line when bleeding it?

Is the pedal completely loose or just not very firm?

open the valve on the slave, once u get solid fluid close and pump the shit out of it to get pressure, then bleed it out

Common problem. You've got air in the master cylinder - there's an obvious spot towards the bottom where it gets trapped and the bleeding process doesn't release it. Unbolt it from the firewall and flip it so that air is released, then run a bleed line from the slave into the reservoir. Cycle the piston repeatedly until you see the air work its way through, then close the bleeder and check for pressure.

Should the lower line going to the slave/ reservoir be higher the the push rod or shuold the MC be level when i do this?

As long as the reservoir is is above the bleeder, it doesn't matter.

Thanks guys, it worked and the truck is running great.:headbang:

I think someone should man this a sticky too or put in tech library

You didn't happen to take pictures as you did it, did you?
