i have a 98 ranger 2wd and it is taller on one side than the other and i cant figure it out its off by almost an inch on one side. i know its not the front end coils because i have put different coils up front lift coils and the stock coils and were still the same. and i dont think the shocks are bad because i replaced them all. can the rear leafs if one is shot cause the entire truck to sag almost an inch?????? i forgot to mention that is sags from the driverside front and back 1 inch any help guys

yes rear spings can cause the truck to sit unlevel.

time for new springs :icon_thumby:

if its leaning to the driver's side ........ its the gas tank.

i was thinking it might be the gas tank but its almost empty and still sags alot i think its the leaf

if u don't rotate the coil springs so that the top end of each spring is against the metal "stop", one side of the truck will be higher than the other ( I cut a coil off each of my springs and didn't pay attention when I re-installed them & had one side of the truck higher--made me think I cut too much off one spring till I found out what I did(or didn't do). Hence:just plain stupied:D

coils are seated just fine im buying new leafs today for 50 bucks of a 2002 with a add a leaf and load assist spring great deal

Check your leaf spring brackets and shackles for rust.

I asked a guy this question at les Schwab. He told me that all trucks sit that way even from the factory. I would assume its cause of the gas tank. I have a lifted tuck. He said thats whenyou notice it more. I am not sure how to fix it though sorry.
