Can anyone tell me if a 2002 is a duratech or lima motor? And how to tell the differance.

its a duratec. the duratec is a DOHC and the 2.3 lima was discontinued in '97.

nothing in specific. the duratecs are very reliable engines. just keep up on general maintainence on the truck and it'll be around for a looong time.

i have always considered the 2.3 duratec to be equal to the 3.0 in reliability.

i love the power and mileage of my duratec.. but i have had starting troubles wen the engine is not dead cold but not fully warmed up.. no one else seems to have the problem so i will be takin it in to the dealer
