ok well my truck is a 94 mazda b3000 4x4 an yesterday my dash lights went out would this just be a blown fuse? or would the bulb be blown out? if its the bulb how do i get at it an if its the fuse where is it located?

there are like 5 bulbs that illuminate the dash...so one burning out would cause you to loose all your dash lights.

start by checking fuses. the fuse panel is located under the dash above the drivers side kick panel. just check them all.

Is it just the instrument cluster lights or all the lights on the dash including radio/hvac panel, etc?

Fuse would be my first guess, or possibly a short in the wiring. If all else fails, replace the light switch. I have had a couple go bad before. Theyre an easy grab at the junkyard.

ok thanks ya i found out what its was its was just the fuse but it was wierd i checked allt he fuses first an all were good so i riped my dash apart couldnt get a the dash light parts so i checked all the fuses again an found the blown fuse, but it was a small crack in the fuse so i guess i missed seeing the when i first pulled them out, so new fuse an lights work.

A good way to check fuses is with a test light. Just turn everything on and poke both sides of each fuse. When you find one that's live on one side and dead on the other, it's blown/cracked/not seated right/whatever. You won't get fooled by a cracked conductor. It's also fast and will let you know if a fuse is simply not getting power.

aren't the tail lights on the same fuse in that year? if so you got tail lights?
