Hello, RangerStation! I just got my first ranger and I love it. Its a 1999 XLT Model V6/4WD/Std Cab. I've been 4wheelin' for about a year and Note: I also use the truck as a daily driver driving about 20-30 miles a day. I like to go 4 wheelin' with my buddy, hes got a 94 ranger. I'm relatively new to the sport/hobby. I would like to get a bit more appropriate tires for general off-roadin' (mud and dirt). Just the occasional mud hole. I live in Michigan for anyone who has ever been here in winter, yea, its pretty crappy.... Anyways, I currently have "Kelley Safari SUV" tires, they suck pretty bad when going through mud, none of the darn mud comes out of the tread while going through a mud hole and they essentially turn into slicks. My buddy has some practically brand new (97%+ tread, literally) 31 inch Courser AWTs that he would sell me + rims for $500, i did the math and thats one hell of a deal. I would also put something like a 3 inch body lift to get a bit more fender clearance. What do you guys think? Heres pictures of both tires. Sorry for any ignorance but I'm no expert, I am pretty basic  If they will give me even a little bit more traction in muddy terrain, I'd be more than happy, just wanted to get the opinion of some other ranger enthusiasts! Thanks!

What I have now, the Safaris

Should I?

My buddy's 31s for sale:

Should I?

i think if you are going to do the body lift you will want at least a 32'' but probably a 33'' i think my 31s look small with just a tbar crank
Should I?

nah **** that go on craigslist and pick up some 315 mud terrains for dirt cheap and wheel them, bfg or goodyear wrangler, or if you can find some nice tsl super swamper boggers!!! But if you want to buy them cause your getting a deal go for it probably wont be MUCH better though...

Well, I'm not very concerned about looks. Just want a bit more traction!
Thanks for all the responses!
