I'm just sorry I didn't do a search on here first on bleeding the clutch system. I've had the 5 spd tranny out of my 93 4x4 ext cab for a rebuild, and it needed a new slave cylinder. The hydraulic line isn't in the greatest of shape, so I thought I'd replace it as well, didn't relize they are so expensive. Boils down that I had the whole hydraulic system apart. I got the tranny back in and bleeding the system was my last task. tried to follow the "chilton's manual" on bleeding the system with no success. Countless trips under the truck, brake fluid everywhere, aggravated, thinking something was faulty, hours wasted.
As a last resort, shoulda been my first resort, I did a search on here and saw where Alland said the 93-94 was next to impossible to bleed "on the vehicle", and how the resevoir, master cylinder and hydraulic line should be bench bled as a unit so you can manipulate it and move it around to get the air out. Since I had nothing to lose, I tackled the job when I got home from work this morning. Within 45 minutes I had the assembly off the truck, bench bled and back on. Great pedal feel and with the truck running slides through the gears smooth as silk.
