Hello All,
I have a question for those in the know. I just purchased and installed an AC system from a local wrecking yard, however it wasn't the exact same as my truck. It was from a 93 B4000, my truck is a 94 ranger 4.0L I have taken all the steps to convert to R-134a.
My question is, my truck (which has a swapped 4.0L and wiring harness from another 94), is wired for some sort of pressure switch that attaches to the manifold on the AC hose that attaches to the compressor. The hose I got from the donor vehicle does not this sensor. Is this sensor necessray for operation? Can I just jump the connector to make it work? I only ask because the older stuff (pre-94) explorers and rangers I found do not have this sensor/switch.
Thanks guys,
Trevor
