Hey everyone. I have looked and looked but can not find anything on where the tube is located, how to extend it, diameter of tubing etc andwas wondering if anyone here knows how to do this and where it is located? I have a 2002 Ranger Edge 4.0 4x4. Pics would be very helpful but not necessary.
I want to extend all 4 of the breather tubes as I am in deep water quite a bit.
Also, if any of you know about the t-case tube that'd be great. I think I found the breather tube on top of the t-case but it appears to run somewhere out of sight though I know it is not extended since I had chocolate milk in both front and rear diffs, t-case and transmission.
Thanks for all your help.

Does anyone know where I can find this info on line maybe? I have a week til I am in the water again :icon_hornsup:

There is a metal tube that sticks down on the LT side of the trans near the bellhousing. It will hanging between the front driveshaft and the case. It loops up to the top of the bellhousing and runs down along the case to the rear where it attaches to the transmission.
5/16" fuel line hose will work.

Don't just attach it to the end near the driveshaft, there are holes in the metal tube at the top. I have no idea why they're there.

Thanks for the help! So I should slide the tubing over the metal tube and run it up to the engine bay? I think I know which metal tube you are talking about, it's the one that points down to the ground right? Won't that create a problem with the tubing being somewhat looped to bring it through to the engine bay?
