I've seen some people mount their fog lights behind the grille, and was wondering how exactly do you mount them?

Like this. Remove the front grille assembly and put them in where you want them, and then just snap the grille back on.

Fog lights

Yeah but how did you mount them? What to?

You have a 93 it's a different generation from the above truck, our grills have slots that are WAY too small to put a fog light in.
You would have to switch to an aftermarket grill.

not exactly, if ya use those rectangled lights (driving lights really) that are only like 2in tall. i have the 4x4 grille (2in upper slot on the grille) which if i remember right has narrower slots than the 2wd grilles. flip the mounts to the top (if you get the kind that can do that) then mount them to the underside of the fiberglass part of the Rad. support. now i have to admit i have not done this myself and didn't take my grille off to look at what kind of clearances there is, but this might help ya get an idea.

There is a brace that runs across the grill about halfway up, you can just make it out in the picture above.

Really slick idea on Ford's part.

be sure you don't get to high of watts bc i have seen some melt a grille

if you don't have a bumper set up or brush guard, i highly recommend putting the lights behind the grille. it looks very classy and professional. and they're safe from road hazards!
