just did my outer tie rods a couple weeks ago cuz the boots were looking pretty bad. got an alignment after that. i went on a road trip to tennessee and back (i live in michigan, about 500 mi.) and discovered the driver side one's boot was completely ripped in half! wtf!
i've been having uneven tire wear issues in the front ever since i've owned the truck (about 2 1/2 yrs.). i've replaced upper ball joints/control arms and the outer tie rods. the lower ball joints seem fine, no play when i move the tire. i figure something is wrong down there to cause the tie rod boot to rip in half and to keep having these tire issues. i just got new tires on the front too and noticed they're starting to wear more on the outside edge.
what could be causing this? inner tie rods? stabilizer bar links? i'm not sure what else to look at. thanks in advance for any replies/suggestions.
