Can anyone suggest some decent wrecking yards in the Southern BC area? Like Surrey/Delta/White Rock/Burnaby...??? If you've seen my other post begging to buy parts, you know what is up, or rather down. My truck to be precise. We live in BLaine, just south of the US/BC border so anything about 30 mins north of the border would be ok...

Hubby and I are not real familiar with the Southern BC wrecking yards but if you can give us a few tips/suggestions, we will both be really thankful.

I think she wants from Canada, and i think she wants to pull the parts her self.

RhainyC sorry i don't live out that way the best i can do is http://www.yellowpages.ca/ just search for auto wreckers and such in the towns you wish, good luck.

Thanks both of you!

Yeah we live near the BC border but I don't know where the salvage yards are up there...

MM, I need the following:

Complete Fuse Block
Neutral Sensing Switch plug and pigtail (from where it plugs onto the trans to the bulkhead connector)
Backup Sensing Switch plug and pigtail (from where it plugs onto the trans to the bulkhead connector)

Bulkhead connector for inside the cab, the firewall one appears to be fine.

So there you have what I need...truck poor wee girl decided to try to melt down nearly a month ago...*whimpers*

Thanks again gents!

I highly recommend making the drive to "PickAPart" just on the outskirts of Chilliwack, it's a bit of a drive from the border but their yard is the biggest around.

Monty, thanks! We will definitely keep that as an option. We are going SOUTH in the US first (due to border wait times and such) and then, if we don't have any luck, NORTH! So PickSPart is on the must check list...as once we make it through the border, the hard part is over. :D

Try www.car-parts.com
Its a site that lets you search wreckers that are close to your zip/postal code. Not sure how good it is for wiring, though. Maybe you could search for a related part and call to see if the yard has the wiring.

Jimmy, Thanks for the tip. Yeah wiring stuff is hard! It's also dependent on what tranny, as it has to be a manual...auto's don't have Neutral Sensing switches, they have Neutral Safety switches as I was educated recently ;)

As Monty said, hit up pickapart in Chilliwack. Lots of Rangers and exploders in there and the prices are the cheapest around. I'm always like a kid in a candy store when I go there. :D

Im the same, i usually take the drive to the Wack if i need something, even before hitting Ralphs auto wrecking, or Action auto which are less than 2 miles from me.
