I'll admit it I'm intimidated!
I have a 97 ranger 2.3 4R44E that is exhibiting the common shift issues. I bought the Superior kit k4r/5r55e, pan gasket, upper and lower vb gaskets, and filter. I have thoroughly read through the repair manual info on doing this and the info here and I can admit it again, I'm scared. While i'm capable of most any mechanical repair job, I have made it my policy to repect those that work on automatic trannys and let them do the work, as they know more than i want to know.
So now I'm seeking someone nearby who is confident about doing this job. I'm willing to pay, so quote me what it would take to do it.
I'm in Chattanooga, TN, and will bring it to you if you aren't too far away.
