Hey guys....hoping everyone is having a Happy Easter. I got a couple questions that I hope someone here can answer for me, but before we get to those I will tell you what i got goin on. Girlfriend and I are in the process of buying a 2000 Explorer XLT with the 4.0L SOHC in it. From what i have tried to find online I think it has a 5 speed automatic tranny in it but here is one of the questions. What transfer case does it have? The sector on the dash has settings for auto/4hi/4lo on it. Is that the BW4405? My other question is can i put that behind a 5.0L and 4R70W transmission later? I'm pretty sure after driving her 1997 Explorer XLT with the 5.0L in it she will be rather disappointed with the performance of that 4.0L so am expecting somewhere down the line for her to say she wants a V8 stuffed under the 2000's hood.
