When I go out to the range, I usually pick up any "brass" that is lying around. Today I picked up some 223, maybe 40 rounds. I have no need for this since I shoot 30.06 and 270. It is brass, not the steel crap. So as I collect it, if someone wants it, let me know. I will also pick up 40 and 45 if available.

Yeah I'd take it. I'm in the process of acquiring a .223 so once you get a load of it let me know and I'll pay the shipping.

Im sure you can find someone interested in almost any brass you can find, so you should just pick it all up and sort it out later.

Will do. My grandsons love going to the range. Ruger 10/22's are the norm. The 11 year old has an 870 youth and can hit a 6-inch circle at 20 yards off-hand every time. We put up a deer target with the vitals. I showed him where to put in. Right behind the front leg. Wouldn't ya know it, he made a perfect heart shot. So some deer hunting this fall.

Man grand kids can be fun!

Brass is $1.40 a pound at the recycler just so you know. I pick it up all the time doesn't matter what caliber I toss it in a 5 gallon bucket and by the time the bucket is full I've got about 50-60lbs. So your looking at around $80 for a bucket of brass to recycle. Whether you can use it or not, you may want to just keep it and fill up buckets or boxes and take it and recycle it.

I see you have the "r" problem as well. Nearly every time I try to type range I automatically add that extra letter.

As for brass I don't personally reload, but my father does and I plan to start eventually. Might be interested in the following brass if you pick it up, ordered from most interest to least interest:

  • .223 / 5.56x45
  • .45 ACP
  • .380 ACP
  • .243 Win
  • .308 Win
  • .30-30 Win
  • 9mmx19
  • .44 Mag

There's also a 6.8 SPC or 6.5 Grendel, but I can't recall which it was that dad bought. I think might could use 357 as well, I could have sworn that dad one but I don't see it on the inventory now. I'll have to ask him about it next time I see him. It's possible that it was one of the ones stolen, but I don't see it on that list either. :icon_confused:

Well if you lived in Idaho I wouldn't mind selling the brass, but mailing it would be pretty pointless due to shipping costs LOL.

Well I was replying to Blueox mostly, but anyone that has some to offer...

If you don't want to ship it that's fine, someone else might.

There's always the USPS Flat Rate boxes... just fill the thing to the brim and for a few bucks it'll go anywhere in the country priority mail. :D

Been slow as of late. Did pick up a mixed bag of 45, 40 and 9, maybe 250 rounds total. When I get enough for a small flat rate box, I will make them available. I might even throw them into my tumbler and pollish them a bit.

And yes, when I start typing "R A N ...." ranger comes out. Don't know why.
