When my Ranger engine goes to 2.9 heaven (or hell) it will be bye bye Ranger.

I already figure I will scrap it but its really a waste. What are people getting for parts when they part there trucks out?

Its a 90' and all the panels are straight with no rust (Oregon truck), everything works, the tranny is solid, rear axle is fine, aside from the seat the interior is nice (dash is perfect)

Its a 2wd XLT lariat longbed manual with 105k on it.

I figure scap value is around $350 or so.

I realize its somewhat of an oddball question, but just curious.

I would think a straight rust free bed would be worth close to if not more than the whole truck as a pile of iron.

If you were closer I could help make that a reality... little out of the way for me though :annoyed:

Wow your in oregon too? Since yours is a 90 its got a few parts I would want on it for my own truck. Mainly front body panels and some trim peices and such. Being a long bed I dont really want to make my ext cab longer than it is lol. I would think you could part it out and THEN scrap it.

part it because just as soon as you scrap it someone would ask you for a part

sell the whole thing to someone who can drop a motor in and go.

That's low mileage. I would keep it and just fix it up. It would be cheaper in the long run then buying another truck. You already know this one inside and out.
