Hello to all, new to the forum. And have a question...
Has anyone replaced the filler neck (as it's called) on a 95 ranger?
I guess there are two options, 1-drop the tank and 2-lift the bed.
Looking for anyone that has first hand experience. As mine does not pass emissions here in AZ for the vacuum test, where they attach "their" gas cap
and pinch off a select hose under the tank with vice grips, and pull a vacuum.

Thanks
Robert in Phoenix.

I've had my bed off a few times here recently and it's far easier I would say then dropping the tank. After you unbolt the bed you only have to move it back about two feet or so to access the filler neck.

It's pretty straight-forward from there.

^ Agree. I've done it both ways and I'd rather pull the bed. Slide the loosened bed back, or lift the driver's side and prop it up to replace the hose.

Yep.

6 T-55 Torx bolts, unplug the taillight harness plug, undo the 3 small screws at the end of the filler neck, then lift away.
