So I have a 90 bronco 2 / 2.9 5 speed. But I just bought another B2 and its an automatic. How hard is it to make my new one 5 speed?

Welcome to TRS...

It's not hard to swap things around...they were made to be interchanged from the factory...as long as the auto is a 4x4 everything could be plugged in...toss out the pilot bearing...or is it add the pilot bearing...not sure exactly but you will probably hear from many who have done it...or what is best...maybe just swap in a 4.0...you could probably sell off one of them or trade it for the drive train...

This is the land of opportunity...lol

Actually, the state of quantum flux specific to the 1990 model transmissions makes it so that it is only possible to do the swap if you use the search function.

Iyou crawl under your 5 speed and take pictures then crawl under the auto and take pictures..
Compare the two..everything from the behind the motor had to be replaced to make the auto standard. Then add the clutch assembly into the mix and cuting a hole in your floor for the sick shift..
I have no idea of the auto transmission is computer controlled or how well the motor will run in from a auto with a swapped 5 speed. You may have to swap computers..I just don't know..
It is doable.. But how hard? Not really hard.not rocket science..
It more like a 5000 piece puzzle that you have to bolt together..
how long? Depends how fast you are.I have a s10 sitting in my yard for a year waiting for the transmission to be re &re it's half done, but other priorities came up.
There should be lots of write ups around any swap in a ranger is the same deal in a b2
Search and read.
