i got a gift and it isnt even my birthday

well i was at work and i got a text from my girlfriend asking if i still wanted a wench... " a wench? do you mean a winch?" and then i proceded to tell her that i really didnt have use for one at the moment but it was allready to late, i guess harbor frieght had them on sale, only $60. i dont really know much about them but that price is cheaper then the atv winches at walmart. now im going to need to put it to work.

I've got a little Harbor Freight thing that was $49.95. I think it's about 2,000# cap.. I loaded a Ranger with a flat tire onto my 36" high deckover with 6' ramps when I used a snatch block. It pulls large pieces of metal, like truck cabs onto my trailer. Unlike any other winch I've had the motor is stronger than the clutch so just because it pulls something it might not hold it. Pretty handy and lightweight so for small jobs you aren't having to haul a 120# multimount around.

yeah its only 3000 pounds but it was free so i will find some use for it, i have really checked it out yet but perhaps it will work on my wheeler

Take it back to harbor freight and trade up to the 8000# ( just don't tell her ).
