sway bar for a 00 ranger

hi, i have a 2000 ranger 2wd xcab auto with the 3.0. i was thinking about adding a rear sway bar. where can one be found for a reasonable price? is there anything ford makes that will fit my truck that i might could source from a junk yard? thanks in advance.

Call your local JY and see what they have for your year. Check on Ebay as well, and Craigslist in you area.

Look up Hellwig part# 7511. They have a front and rear. Their site says that 7511 fits all rangers/BII's 2WD and 4WD. There was info on here that said BII sway bars will fit Rangers as well. So, you could get one from a J/Y from a BII, or any other Rangers, and put it on there.

Any year, any axle RBV rear sway bar will bolt up.

I took one from a 90 2.9 auto 4wd ranger 7.5" and installed it on my 2000 2.5 2wd 7.5.
It's hard to get that one bolt out on the DS framerail if there is a skidplate installed. I used a box end by feel, wearing gloves and still scraped my knuckles up.

Made a big difference in handling though!
